Carina Stopenski

Carina (they/them) is a writer, librarian, and middle-grade educator based in Pittsburgh, PA. They teach primarily on contemporary Western animation, the history of Japanese anime, and horror comics, but hold much love for the whole comics genre. Carina is also an active participant in American Library Association's Comics Roundtable and serves as a member of Horror Writers Association's Library Advisory Council, where they spread their love of comics to the horror genre. Carina's main forays into making their own comics comes in the form of instructional library zines and NSFW erotic and horror zines based on their own poems.

Leah Spears is a cartoonist based in the Chicago-land area. She has been a storyteller for several years having sold a number of artwork at various shows including Chicago Zine Fest '23, and the Pride in Panels–SF Queer Comics Fest ’24. Her work spans a variety of different genres, but as of now mostly focuses on slice-of-life, humor, and the occasional horror. Leah received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is currently getting her Masters of Fine Arts in Comics at California College of the Arts.
